Bad teeth can have a serious impact on your general health and can really affect your self esteem. If you are suffering from problems with your teeth, you should take steps to ensure better overall oral health. Here are some of the things you should do:
- Brush your teeth at least twice a day, for two minutes at a time. Use an electric toothbrush where possible and change the head every 3 months.
- Floss. Use bottle brushes as the most effective method of flossing and go right up into the space around your gums.
- Visit your dentist on a regular basis. They will help to monitor you teeth and look out for any issues, like plaque and cavities.
- Book an appointment with the hygienist. This is not always offered on the NHS but it is totally worth paying for privately. A hygienist can help revolutionise your oral health, cleaning gums and hard to reach places.
