It is widely known that eating a wide variety of fruits and vegetables is important for good health, but lots of people fail to get the recommended amounts of these foods each day. Here are some tips to help increase your intake of nature’s goodness!
Try a new food every week. When you do your food shop, try picking up one or two fruit or vegetables that you haven’t tried before. Not only will this increase the amount of foods you eat, but if you like them, you are more likely to want to eat them!
Sneak vegetables in to everyday meals. If you struggle to eat the right amount of vegetables simply because you do not like the taste, try chopping them up really small and sneaking them into flavourful dishes such as curries or spaghetti Bolognese. This way, the veggies will cook down to be nice and soft, plus the flavour will be hidden by the delicious base ingredients!
