Bad teeth can have a serious impact on your general health and can really affect your self-esteem. If you are suffering from problems with your teeth, you should take steps to ensure better overall oral health. Here are some of the things you should do:
- Brush your teeth at least twice a day, for two minutes at a time. Use an electric toothbrush where possible and change the head every 3 months.
- Floss. Use bottle brushes as the most effective method of flossing and go right up into the space around your gums.
- Visit your dentist on a regular basis. They will help to monitor your teeth and look out for any issues, like plaque and cavities.
- Book an appointment with the hygienist. This is not always offered on the NHS but it is totally worth paying for privately. A hygienist can help revolutionise your oral health, cleaning gums and hard to reach places.
