Strong, white, healthy teeth are all signs that we are looking after our oral health well. If your pearls are less than perfect, here are some tips to bring back the shine.

Firstly, to have healthy teeth, we should start with a healthy diet! Include plenty of calcium rich foods like leafy greens, milk and low fat dairy. Also try to reduce the amount of added sugar in your diet.

Next, remember not to have too much fruit juice. Although a glass of juice is a healthy way to get part of your 5 a day, it is still high in sugar, which can cause decay.

Big tip: stop smoking! Cigarettes cause staining, bad breath and increases the risk of gum disease and mouth cancer.

Brush twice per day with a good fluoride toothpaste. Brushing at least two minutes in the morning and before bed help to prevent tooth decay and gum disease.
